What is the water inlet or IFD connector seal

This is a small rubber or silicone seal that closes the joint between the coffee machine's water circuit and the connector through which water flows into the system. Its job is to prevent water leaks and maintain the pressure needed in the circuit so that water reaches exactly where it should.

How to spot wear

An old or hardened seal loses its elasticity and no longer seals the joint properly.
