Original DeLonghi descaler – why use ECODECALK?

Brewive supplies the original DeLonghi product (part number AS00006181), not a compatible substitute. Original ECODECALK is developed by the manufacturer specifically for the internal components of DeLonghi coffee machines. Its formulation based on lactic acid (plant-derived) is up to 3× more effective than standard citric acid descalers, while being gentle on internal seals, hoses and metal parts. The 500ml bottle lasts for 5 descaling cycles (100ml per cycle). Eco-friendly – does not pollute the environment, bottle is made from 50% recycled plastic.

How to use DeLonghi ECODECALK?

1. Empty the water tank and pour in 100ml of ECODECALK descaler.
2. Dilute 100ml of descaler with water (see quantity in coffee machine manual, typically 1 litre of water).
3. Insert the tank back into the coffee machine and start the automatic descaling programme (see manual for your specific machine model).
4. After the cycle completes, rinse the tank several times with clean water according to the instructions in the coffee machine operating manual.

How often should you descale the coffee machine?

Frequency depends on water hardness in your area. Generally, descaling is recommended every 2–3 months with hard water, every 4–6 months with medium-hard water. Most DeLonghi automatic coffee machines have an indicator that alerts you when it is time to descale. Never ignore the indicator – limescale gradually reduces pressure, impairs coffee taste and shortens appliance lifespan.
