What the pump hose does

The pump hose is part of the coffee machine's water circuit and supplies water from the tank or flow meter to the pump and onward to the heating system or brewing unit. It must withstand the pressure and temperatures generated in the system during coffee preparation.

Signs of wear

As the material ages or is subjected to mechanical stress, the hose gradually loses its flexibility, may crack, soften, or come loose at the joints. This results in water leaking inside the appliance, dripping from the bottom of the coffee machine, reduced pump pressure, a noisy pump, or error messages related to water flow.

Why replace this part in time

A leaking or damaged hose can allow water to enter the electronics, cause corrosion of surrounding parts, and ultimately lead to failure of the pump or other components of the water system. Timely replacement prevents greater damage and appliance downtime.
