What is a hose connector

A hose connector is a coupling part that joins individual sections of water or steam hoses inside a coffee machine. It ensures that water, steam or brewed coffee flows exactly where it should, without leaking outside the system. In some designs it splits the flow into several outlets at once.

How to spot wear

As the material ages or comes under mechanical stress, the connection can loosen, crack or lose its seal. This shows up as dripping or leaking water under the coffee machine, lower pressure during brewing, uneven dispensing of the drink, or an unusual hissing of air around the joint.
