What is the hot water nozzle

The hot water nozzle is a part of the coffee machine's outlet system through which hot water flows when preparing tea, americano or diluting beverages. It fits onto the outlet of the milk-water system and directs the stream of water into the cup.

When the part stops doing its job

A worn or damaged nozzle shows itself through an irregular or splashing stream of water, water spilling outside the cup, dripping after dispensing ends, or reduced flow caused by limescale deposits. Cracked or deformed plastic can also cause leakage at the point where it attaches to the outlet.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A damaged nozzle not only reduces comfort of use but can also cause water to leak into the interior of the coffee machine or onto the worktop. Timely replacement prevents bigger problems with the tightness of the entire outlet system.
