What is a coffee machine's auxiliary electronic board

An auxiliary electronic board complements the main control unit of the coffee machine and handles a specific group of functions – for example, controlling the pump, heating, valves, or communication with the display and buttons. It receives signals from sensors and switches individual components accordingly, so the machine prepares coffee in the correct sequence of steps.

Signs of wear or failure

A faulty board manifests unpredictably – the coffee machine doesn't respond to button presses, gets stuck at one step of preparation, displays error codes, fails to start heating or the pump, restarts on its own, or stops working entirely. Intermittent faults are also common, appearing only at a certain temperature or after prolonged operation of the machine.

When it's time for a replacement
