What the vibration pump does

The vibration pump delivers water from the tank or the water supply to the boiler and on to the brew head of the coffee machine. It works on the principle of an electromagnetic piston that uses rapid vibrations to create the pressure needed to push water through the system. Without a working pump, water either won't reach the machine at all, or only insufficiently.

Typical signs of wear

• Louder buzzing or rattling noise during coffee preparation
• Slower pressure build-up or a significantly longer brewing time for espresso
• Irregular or interrupted water flow
• The coffee machine reports a pressure error or the pump doesn't start at all
• Water leakage around the pump caused by worn internal seals
