What is the pump water inlet seal

This is a small rubber or silicone seal located where water from the coffee machine's water system enters the pump. Its role is to seal the joint so that water does not leak out of its intended path during intake and pressure, allowing the pump to work at full performance.

Signs of wear

• Dripping or wet spots around the pump
• Lower water pressure or unstable flow
• Noisier pump operation, or frequent switching on
• Longer time to prepare coffee or steam

Over time the seal loses its elasticity, hardens or cracks, so it no longer seats properly and the joint becomes leaky.

Why replace this part in time

A leaking water inlet means that some water is lost before it even reaches the appliance, which puts strain on the pump and other components of the water system. Replacing the seal in time prevents bigger failures and unnecessary wear of surrounding parts.
