Function of the solenoid valve

The solenoid valve controls the flow of water or steam inside the coffee machine. Based on an electrical impulse, it opens and closes the path for liquid or steam, allowing precise timing of coffee preparation, boiler filling, or pressure release. Without a properly functioning valve, the machine cannot reliably control the individual brewing steps.

When the part stops doing its job

A worn or damaged valve shows itself through water or steam leaking outside the intended path, irregular or interrupted flow, loud clicking or buzzing during switching, or complete loss of function when the valve remains permanently open or closed. This can result in inconsistent coffee taste, dripping from the outlet even after brewing has finished, or error messages on the display.

When it's time for a replacement

A leaking or malfunctioning valve puts extra strain on the other components of the coffee machine and can cause overflow or water damage to internal parts. Timely replacement prevents bigger faults and keeps the machine's performance stable.
