What is a hose connector

A hose connector joins the hoses carrying water or steam between individual parts of the coffee machine, for example between the boiler, thermoblock and pump. It ensures that water flows exactly where it should, without leaks and without unnecessary pressure resistance.

When the part stops doing its job

Over time, the connection can loosen, crack or lose its seal, which shows up as dripping or spraying water inside the machine, a drop in pressure, longer brewing times, or an error message related to insufficient water. In some cases, a damaged connector can even cause corrosion of surrounding parts.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A leaking or damaged connector increases the risk of a bigger fault, since escaping water can damage the electronics or other components of the coffee machine. Timely replacement is a simple way to prevent a more costly repair.
