What is a valve pin

The valve pin is a small but important part of the steam or water valve in a coffee machine. It acts as a moving element that, when the control knob is turned, opens or closes the flow of steam or water through the dispensing or steam-water spout.

When the part stops doing its job

When the pin is worn, bent, or mechanically damaged, the valve becomes harder to operate, sticks, or jams. Water or steam may leak even in the closed position, the flow may become irregular, or it may become completely impossible to open or close the valve.
