What is a water/steam valve

The water/steam valve is a component that controls the flow of water or steam from the boiler to the outlet nozzle. By opening and closing, it allows the user to froth milk, heat a beverage, or dispense hot water as needed.

Signs of wear

• The valve leaks and steam or water escapes even in the closed position
• The control is stiff, hard to turn, or conversely too loose
• The flow is irregular, weak, or suddenly cuts off
• Hissing or dripping can be heard around the valve

When it's time for a replacement

A leaking or worn valve increases water and energy consumption, causes steam temperature fluctuations, and can lead to permanent damage to internal seals or surrounding parts. Timely replacement prevents bigger repairs and keeps the coffee machine's performance stable.
