What is the solenoid valve assembly

The solenoid (electromagnetic) valve controls the flow of water or steam in the coffee machine. It is opened and closed by an electrical impulse, allowing the machine to precisely dose water into the brewing unit, the steam wand, or the hot water circuit. The assembly usually includes the valve body itself along with the coil and sealing components needed for it to function.

Signs of wear

A worn or clogged valve shows up as irregular water flow, dripping outside the brewing cycle, water leaking from the machine body, loud clicking or buzzing from the coil, or an error message related to flow. Sometimes the machine stops steaming or dispensing water altogether because the valve gets stuck in the closed or open position.

Why replace this part in time

A leaking or stuck valve puts extra strain on the pump and heater and can damage other parts of the circuit. Timely replacement restores accurate water dosing, prevents leaks, and eliminates disruptive noises during brewing.
