What is a pump pressure gauge
The pump pressure gauge is a measuring instrument that shows the water pressure generated by the coffee machine's pump. It displays the value directly on a dial with a needle, allowing you to monitor whether the pump is operating within the correct range needed for quality coffee extraction.
Signs of wear or malfunction
When the pressure gauge stops working properly, the needle may get stuck, fluctuate without any apparent reason, show zero even while the pump is running, or water or steam may start leaking around the device. Sometimes the glass becomes fogged or cracked, making it impossible to read the value accurately.
When it's time for a replacement
A faulty or inaccurate pressure gauge makes it impossible to monitor pressure during coffee preparation, which can lead to incorrect extraction and inconsistent taste of the drink. A damaged gauge can also signal a larger problem within the pump's pressure system that is worth detecting early.
How to choose the right part
- Check compatibility in the product's table according to your specific coffee machine model.
- Check the scale range to make sure it matches your pump's operating pressure.
