What is a steam hose and what is it for

The steam hose carries hot steam from the coffee machine's boiler to the steam wand, which is used to froth milk or heat water. It is exposed to high temperature and pressure, so it must remain firm, tight and resistant to material aging.

When the part stops doing its job

• Steam or water leaking outside the wand
• Cracked, wrinkled or hardened surface of the hose
• Weaker or irregular steam flow when frothing milk
• Hissing or other unusual sound during operation

When it's time for a replacement

A damaged or leaking hose reduces frothing performance, increases energy consumption, and in case of greater damage can lead to steam escaping outward from the coffee machine, which is a safety risk. Timely replacement prevents bigger failures and keeps the quality of frothed milk consistent.
