What the milk frother nozzle does

The nozzle is the end part of the coffee machine's milk system through which steam or air flows together with milk, creating fine foam for cappuccino or latte. It draws in milk and mixes it with steam to produce dense, stable foam with fine microbubbles.

How to spot wear

When the nozzle is clogged with dried milk or damaged, the foam becomes thin, uneven, or is missing altogether. Common symptoms also include an irregular sound during frothing, milk dripping outside the container, or blocked openings that prevent proper air intake.

When it's time for a replacement

A worn or damaged nozzle is difficult to clean thoroughly, and milk residue inside it becomes a source of bacteria and unpleasant odor. Replacing it with a new one restores foam quality and prevents the problem from spreading to other parts of the milk system.
