What the valve does

The steam or hot water valve controls the flow of steam or hot water from the boiler to the milk frothing nozzle or the hot water outlet. It opens and closes the flow depending on how you operate the relevant coffee machine function, and maintains system pressure during beverage preparation.

Typical signs of wear

A worn or damaged valve shows itself through a weak or irregular flow of steam or water, hissing or steam leaking outside the nozzle, water dripping even when not in use, or the milk frothing or hot water function not starting at all. Sometimes an error message also appears on the display.

Why replace this part in time

A leaking or stuck valve increases pressure in the system, can cause water to leak inside the machine, and as a result damage other components. Replacing it with a new part restores smooth and safe steam and hot water operation.
