What the nozzle seal does

The nozzle seal is a small rubber or silicone ring that seals the joint between the hot water spout or milk frother and the coffee machine body. It prevents water or steam from leaking outside the intended path and ensures pressure goes exactly where it should.

Signs of wear

When the seal hardens, cracks or loses elasticity, water or steam starts leaking near the nozzle, the nozzle becomes loose, or the flow of hot water or milk frothing weakens. Sometimes hissing or dripping appears directly from the nozzle mount.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A leaking nozzle means loss of pressure and uneven milk frothing or a weaker water flow, which affects the quality of the drink. Leaking water can also damage surrounding parts of the coffee machine through moisture.

How to choose the right seal

• Check compatibility with your model in the product table.
