What is the ground coffee funnel

The ground coffee funnel is a plastic insert that guides a dose of ground coffee from the hopper directly into the brewing or frothing chamber of the coffee machine. It is used when you want to prepare coffee from pre-ground coffee instead of beans from the grinder, or when preparing decaffeinated coffee.

When the part stops doing its job

If the funnel is cracked, deformed or missing a part, the ground coffee can spill outside the chute, clog the mechanism or end up in the wrong place inside the coffee machine. This usually results in uneven grinding, coffee dust leaking into the machine, or an error message on the coffee machine.
