What the part does

The brewing unit scoop is a small mechanical component inside the brewing chamber that, during each cycle, takes a dose of ground coffee and moves it into the pressing area. Without a properly functioning scoop, coffee will not reach the chamber evenly or will not reach it at all.

Signs of wear

• Weak or watery coffee even with correct grinder settings
• Coffee grounds left around the brewing unit or in the drip tray
• The mechanism jams, makes unusual noises, or fails to move to its end position
• The coffee machine shows a brewing unit error or interrupts the brewing cycle

When it's time for a replacement

A worn or cracked scoop cannot reliably dose coffee, which puts strain on the entire brewing unit mechanism and can lead to further wear or damage. Timely replacement prevents more extensive intervention on the unit.
