What is the front water tank cover

This is the outer cover that forms the front (visible) part of the coffee machine's water tank. The tank is usually made up of several parts, and this front cover holds the construction together, protects the inner parts of the tank, and also completes its appearance on the front of the appliance.

Signs of wear or damage

Over time, the clips and plastic joints that attach the front part to the rest of the tank can crack, deform, or become damaged. This can result in a leaking tank, water escaping during handling or while brewing coffee, a loose or falling-out lid, or visible stains and discoloration from limescale and dirt.

Why replace the part in time

A damaged front tank cover can cause water to leak into the inside of the coffee machine, which can endanger the electronics or other parts of the appliance. Timely replacement also prevents further wear of the adjoining tank parts that fit together with it.
