A fitting is a connecting element that attaches a hose or tube to the boiler, valve, sight glass, or another component of the coffee machine's water or steam circuit. It ensures a tight and secure connection between two parts of the system through which water, steam, or coffee extract flows.

Typical signs of wear

A worn or damaged fitting shows itself through leaking water or steam at the joint, dripping under the coffee machine, a drop in pressure, or a hissing sound during brewing. Corrosion, loose threads, or cracked material that prevents proper tightening of the joint may also appear.
