What is an elbow fitting

An elbow (angled) fitting is a connecting element in the hose system of a coffee machine that changes the direction of water, steam or drain flow at an angle. It is used wherever a straight connector would cause the hose to bend unnecessarily and gradually become damaged.

Signs of wear

A worn or damaged fitting shows itself through leaking water or steam at the joint, dripping under the machine, a drop in pressure, or incomplete drainage of water. In case of corrosion damage, the water passing through the system may also develop a stale taste.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A leaking or cracked fitting increases the risk of damage to surrounding components from moisture and can cause a loss of the pressure needed for proper coffee preparation. Timely replacement prevents more extensive repairs to the electronics or internal parts of the machine.

• Check the type and direction of the hose connection
• Verify compatibility in the product table
• When replacing, make sure the joint is properly tightened without over-twisting
