What is a microswitch and what is it for

A microswitch is a small electrical switch that signals the position of moving parts to the coffee machine, most often the door, the coffee grounds drawer, or another cover. Based on its signal, the control unit knows whether the coffee machine is properly closed and safe to start brewing coffee.

• The display shows a prompt to close a part that is actually already closed
• The switch reacts with a delay or only under certain pressure on the door
