The control or dosing unit is an electronic component that manages the key functions of the coffee machine – it starts and stops the water flow, signals the dose amount, and may also regulate the water level in the system. Without it, the machine cannot correctly determine when to stop or start working.

Signs of wear or malfunction

A faulty or oxidized board shows itself through irregular dosing of coffee or water, the machine switching on or off on its own, error messages on the display, or a complete loss of certain machine functions. Sometimes the fault also shows up as a leak caused by incorrect evaluation of the water level.
