What is a steam pipe

The steam pipe is a metal tube through which steam passes from the coffee machine to the milk frother. It carries steam from the boiler to the nozzle and allows the milk to be heated and frothed for milk-based drinks.

Signs of wear

Over time, cracks, deformations, or leaks may appear on the pipe, allowing steam or water to escape. Poor frothing, an unstable steam flow, hissing in the wrong place, or visible corrosion are all signs that the pipe is wearing out.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A damaged or leaking pipe reduces frothing performance, prolongs drink preparation, and can cause steam to escape outside the nozzle, which is also a safety risk. Timely replacement restores a steady steam flow and the quality of frothed milk.
