What is the brewing unit cam
The cam is a mechanical component inside the coffee machine's brewing unit that, as it rotates, controls the movement of the lever and guide mechanisms. Thanks to it, the individual parts of the unit move precisely in the correct order and timing, ensuring a smooth brewing cycle from filling the coffee to ejecting the puck.
Signs of wear
A worn or damaged cam causes irregular or jerky movement of the brewing unit, increased noise during operation, or the mechanism getting stuck at some stage of the cycle. The coffee machine may report a brewing unit error or stop responding to the command to prepare coffee.
Why timely replacement pays off
If the cam does not work properly, the mechanism can become blocked or damage other components that depend on the cam's precise movement. Timely replacement prevents a bigger failure and restores smooth, quiet operation of the brewing unit.
How to choose the right part
Cams differ in shape and the way they are mounted in the unit, so always check compatibility in the product table before purchasing.
