What is a brew group valve

The brew group valve controls the flow of water and steam during coffee preparation and releases pressure once extraction is finished. • The machine drips or sprays water from the group after brewing
• Pressure in the group drops unevenly or slowly
• An unusual hissing or bubbling sound is heard after extraction ends
• The filter basket or portafilter is harder to release due to residual pressure

These symptoms are usually caused by a worn or dirty seal inside the valve, or by mechanical wear of the valve body itself.
