Coffee machine base

The base is the bottom supporting part of the coffee machine body, on which the entire mechanism rests and which also protects the internal components from dust and moisture. It is often fitted with rubber or silicone pads that dampen vibrations and prevent the appliance from sliding on the worktop.

Signs of wear

Over time, the base can crack, lose its shape, or come loose from its mounting, which shows up as visible play in the machine body, increased noise during operation, or the appliance shifting during use. Damaged or missing rubber pads cause the coffee machine to stand unsteadily and transmit vibrations to the worktop.

When it's time for a replacement
