What is the brewing unit holder

The holder is a supporting component inside the coffee machine's brewing unit that keeps the funnel or shower screen in place, ensuring water flows evenly through the coffee puck at the correct pressure. It is part of the mechanism that moves and presses the ground coffee during brewing.

Typical signs of wear

When the holder is worn, damaged or deformed, water may leak outside the brewing chamber, coffee may be pressed unevenly, the coffee may become weak or watery, and the unit may rattle or jam mechanically. Sometimes the coffee machine will also show an error message on the display.
