Jura coffee machine – Error 8 (Störung 8)

Why does my Jura coffee machine show Error 8?

Error 8 (Störung 8) means the brew unit is not in the correct position.

Typical symptoms:

• Coffee machine does not brew coffee
• Loud noise resembling a drill
• Error message appears repeatedly

The problem develops gradually – first occasional messages, later complete failure. In most cases, the cause is a worn brew unit that cannot return to its home position.

After replacing the brew unit, Error 8 disappears and the coffee machine operates quietly and reliably again.
