What is a milk connector and what is it for

The milk frother connector is a coupling piece that links the milk hose or container to the coffee machine's steam wand. It ensures that milk is drawn in the correct direction during frothing and that the whole system forms a tight, sealed circuit between milk, air and steam.

Typical signs of wear

When the connector loses its flexibility or its sealing part gets damaged, the connection no longer holds tight. This shows up as milk or air leaking at the joint, weak or uneven foam, or the frother not drawing in milk at all. Sometimes hissing or unusual noise during frothing can also occur.

When it's time for a replacement

A leaking or damaged connector worsens the quality of foam for cappuccino or latte and can cause milk to reach places where it dries and makes cleaning harder. Timely replacement keeps the frothing system functional and hygienic.
