What the filter holder is and what it does

The filter holder is a plastic part located in the water tank, into which the coffee machine's water filter is inserted. Its role is to firmly hold the filter in the correct position and ensure that all water flowing into the machine passes through the filter cartridge.

Signs of wear or damage

If the holder is cracked, loose, or missing mounting elements, the filter may sit loosely or fail to attach at all. This often results in the tank leaking, water escaping, or a filter that doesn't work because water bypasses it.
