Rocket Porta Via Espresso Machine
At first glance it looks like a trumpet case. Inside, however, lies the hand-built Rocket Porta Via — a portable espresso machine featuring the iconic E61 group, a heat exchanger boiler, a full metal water tank, and classic Rocket styling. Sounds crazy? It is. Ever since we first saw it at Host Milan, we knew Porta Via would sit in a category of its own — and years later, nothing compares.
The protective steel case allows you to take it anywhere, and despite the compact form factor, Rocket managed to fit a 1.2 L heat exchanger boiler for simultaneous brewing and steaming. The included accessories are impressive too: bottomless portafilter, stainless steel tamper, milk pitcher, and even a set of cups.
Pros
Stunning Looks
The steel case is unlike anything else. Whether on a kitchen counter or at an event, Porta Via always stands out.
Surprising Capability
It’s not the most advanced machine you can buy, but Rocket’s ability to pack commercial-grade components into such a small space is remarkable.
Things to Consider
Weight
Despite its portable form, the machine weighs almost 30 kg — definitely not effortless to carry. Two hands recommended.
You Pay for Exclusivity
Porta Via costs roughly the same as the Rocket Evoluzione R models. It’s a unique machine in every aspect, but if pure performance is your priority, an Evoluzione R may be a better fit.
