What is a coffee machine indicator light
The indicator light is a small signal LED or bulb located on the control panel of the coffee machine. It informs the user about the state of the device – for example, whether the appliance is switched on, whether heating is in progress, or whether the operating temperature has been reached. Without a functioning indicator light, the operator loses track of what stage the coffee machine is currently in.
Signs of wear or malfunction
- The indicator light does not light up at all, even though the device is switched on
- The light flickers irregularly or is weak, intermittent
- The colour of the light has changed or is uneven
Such symptoms usually indicate a worn or faulty light element, or a loose contact in its socket.
When it's time for a replacement
A non-functioning indicator light does not directly affect the taste of the coffee, but without it, it is hard to tell when the coffee machine is ready for use or when it is signalling another type of fault. Timely replacement restores clarity of control and prevents unnecessary waiting or improper use of the device.
How to choose the right part
Indicator lights differ in light colour, supply voltage, and socket size, so always check compatibility in the product table before purchasing.
