What is a coffee machine cleaning brush

The cleaning brush is used to mechanically remove coffee residue, grease and deposits from hard-to-reach parts of the coffee machine, such as shower heads, grinding burrs or outlet spouts. Regular cleaning of these parts directly affects the taste of the brewed coffee as well as the smooth operation of the grinder or brewing unit.

Why it pays to replace the brush

A worn brush has bent, frayed or shortened bristles that can no longer reach into narrow openings and grooves. As a result, deposits of coffee oil and limescale remain in place, which shows up as a bitter or yellowish taste of the coffee, a clogged shower head or uneven grinding.
