What is a hose seal

A hose seal is a small rubber or silicone element fitted onto the end of a hose in the coffee machine's water circuit. Its purpose is to create a tight connection between the hose and the connection point, so that water or steam flows exactly where it should, without leaking outside the system.

Typical signs of wear

• Dripping or leaking water around the hose or tank
• Pressure drop when brewing coffee, weaker or inconsistent extraction
• Moisture inside the coffee machine, which can cause corrosion or electronic failure
• Error messages about lack of water despite a full tank

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

Rubber and silicone seals lose their elasticity over time, becoming hard or cracking due to heat and water. A damaged seal can no longer maintain pressure or a tight connection, which can lead to bigger leaks and, in extreme cases, damage to surrounding components. Replacing it with a new one is a simple and inexpensive way to prevent these issues.
