What is the water inlet or IFD connector seal

This is a small rubber or silicone seal that closes the joint between the coffee machine's water circuit and the connector through which water flows into the system. Its job is to prevent water leaks and maintain the pressure needed in the circuit so that water reaches exactly where it should.

When the part stops doing its job

An old or hardened seal loses its elasticity and no longer seals the joint properly. This can show up as dripping or leaking water around the connector, a drop in pressure, incomplete filling of the system with water, or the coffee machine displaying an error about insufficient water or a flow problem.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement
