What is the thermoblock cover

The thermoblock or heating element cover is a protective part that covers the hot heating section of the coffee machine responsible for heating water for coffee or steam. It protects surrounding components and cables from direct heat and prevents accidental contact with hot parts during operation and servicing.

When the part stops doing its job

If the cover is cracked, deformed by heat, or missing fastening elements, it can loosen, fit poorly, or come into contact with other parts. This increases the risk of damage to neighbouring components, and may also cause an unpleasant smell from overheated plastic. A loose cover can also cause rattling or vibrations while the machine is running.
