What a spring guide is

The spring guide is a small part inside a coffee machine valve that keeps the spring aligned on its correct axis and prevents it from bending or crossing. Thanks to it, the spring moves precisely in a straight line every time the valve opens and closes, ensuring reliable and even sealing.

Typical signs of wear

If the guide is cracked, deformed or worn, the spring can shift out of position and the valve may then fail to seal properly or work irregularly. This can show up as fluctuating pressure, irregular water or steam flow, leaking, or an unusual sound when the valve switches.

Why replace this part in time

A damaged spring guide also puts extra strain on the spring itself and on other valve parts, which can then wear out faster. Replacing this small part in time often prevents a bigger and more costly repair of the entire valve.
