What the solenoid valve does

The solenoid valve controls the flow of water, milk or steam in the coffee machine. Based on an electrical signal from the control unit, it opens and closes, starting or interrupting the flow at a precisely defined moment during brewing.

When the part stops doing its job

A worn or damaged valve shows itself through irregular water or steam flow, dripping even outside of brewing, loud clicking, or complete failure of function. An error message may also appear on the coffee machine's display, or the coffee's taste may become inconsistent due to incorrect water dosing.
