What is the milk frother ring

The ring is a small part of the frother (the so-called cappuccinatore) on the coffee machine, which holds the movable or sealing parts in place and ensures correct intake of air and milk during frothing. Without it, the frother won't hold its shape or seal properly.

When the part stops doing its job

If the ring is worn, cracked, or has lost its elasticity, the frother may froth milk unevenly, produce too little foam, or leak milk or steam outside the nozzle. Noisier operation or loose frother parts are also common.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A damaged ring makes cleaning and maintaining the entire milk system more difficult, which can lead to buildup and poorer hygiene. Timely replacement restores reliable frothing and prevents further wear of the surrounding frother parts.
