What is the milk system seal

The milk system seal is a small rubber or silicone part that ensures a tight connection between the milk container, the frother and the coupling in the coffee machine. Its job is to prevent milk or air from leaking at the connection point, so that frothing works correctly and the system operates without pressure loss.

Signs of wear

When the seal loses elasticity or cracks, it shows up as milk leaking around the coupling, weak or unstable foam, or bubbling and hissing air instead of a smooth milk draw. Sometimes an unpleasant smell also appears, caused by dried milk residue in the leaking area.

When it's time for a replacement

A leaking connection reduces the quality of frothed milk and can cause milk residue to reach hard-to-clean areas, leading to odour and a risk of bacterial growth. Timely replacement of the seal restores the proper function of the milk system and makes maintenance easier.

How to choose the right seal

• Check the colour and shape of the original seal, as they may differ depending on its position in the system.
• Check compatibility in the product table before ordering.
