What is the motor electronics

The motor electronics is a control board or module that governs the movement of the motor in a coffee machine, most often the brewing unit motor. It receives signals from the main control board and uses them to regulate the speed, direction and stopping of the motor, which drives the piston, grinder or other mechanism needed to prepare coffee.

Signs of wear or failure

When the motor electronics fails, the coffee machine may report a brewing unit error, the motor may not turn, may get stuck mid-cycle, or may make an unusual noise. Sometimes the machine stops completely and does not respond to commands, or it keeps restarting.
