What is a mechanical valve and what is it for

A mechanical valve controls the flow of water or steam in the coffee machine's circuit. It opens and closes the path for the liquid at a precise moment, ensuring the correct pressure when brewing coffee, frothing milk, or dispensing hot water. Its tight and reliable operation is essential for the stable running of the whole appliance.

Typical signs of wear

A worn or damaged valve will show itself through water or steam leaking outside the normal path, fluctuating pressure, unusual hissing or knocking sounds, or an error message on the display. The coffee may taste uneven or have weaker foam because the pressure in the system is not stable.

Why replace the valve in time

A leaking or stuck valve puts strain on other parts of the circuit, can cause overheating or damage to the pump, and ultimately shortens the lifespan of the whole coffee machine. Timely replacement prevents bigger and more costly repairs.
