What is a protective insert

The protective insert is a plastic part that is placed into the tank or an adjacent space of the coffee machine. Its purpose is to protect the internal walls from abrasion, moisture, and deposits that could otherwise damage the structure or affect the operation of the appliance.

How to spot wear

If the insert is cracked, deformed, or does not fit precisely in place, minor leaks may occur, along with a buildup of limescale or dirt in areas it was originally meant to protect. In some cases, an unusual smell or a change in the color of the water in the tank may also appear.
