What is a pump holder

The pump holder is a mount that keeps the water pump securely in place inside the coffee machine. It prevents movement and direct contact with the metal frame, damping vibrations and protecting the connected tubing and electrical connections from strain.

When the part stops doing its job

If the holder is old, cracked or has lost its elasticity, the pump becomes loose in its mounting. This shows up as increased noise and vibration during brewing, as well as rattling or knocking from inside the machine. A loose pump can over time damage the connected tubing, leading to leaks or water escaping.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A damaged or deformed holder cannot dampen the pump's vibrations, which are then transmitted to surrounding components of the water system. Timely replacement prevents further wear of the tubing, connectors and the pump itself, and reduces unnecessary noise from the coffee machine.
