What is the grind adjustment gear wheel

Grind size adjustment becomes unreliable, grinding becomes uneven, and the taste of the coffee fluctuates for no apparent reason. In some cases, there is also increased noise or the grinder jams.

A damaged wheel can cause the setting to shift on its own or get stuck in one position, leading to persistently poor coffee extraction. If the teeth break completely, the grinding discs may come into direct contact, increasing the risk of damage to them.
