What the flow meter does

The flow meter is a sensor placed in the water path between the tank and the brewing unit. It measures the amount of water passing through the coffee machine, and based on this data, the control electronics dose the precise amount of water for each cup of coffee or hot water.

Signs of wear or malfunction

• The coffee machine dispenses too little or too much water without an obvious reason
• The taste of the coffee changes with the same grind and dose settings
• The coffee machine reports a flow error or stops unexpectedly during preparation
• The tank empties unevenly or preparation takes noticeably longer

Why timely replacement pays off

An inaccurate or malfunctioning flow meter disrupts the entire brewing process, since water dosing control relies on its readings. Delaying replacement results in inconsistent coffee quality and, in some cases, a complete blockage of the coffee machine's function.
