What the water pump does

The water pump supplies water from the tank or a mains connection to the coffee machine's heating system and creates the pressure needed to brew espresso. Without a functioning pump, water cannot reach the heater in sufficient quantity or at the correct pressure, which directly affects the quality of coffee extraction.

How to spot wear

• Weak or irregular water flow
• Loud buzzing, vibration, or knocking during brewing
• Extended brewing time or incomplete dosing
• Error messages about lack of water despite a full tank
• Water leaking around the pump

When it's time for a replacement
